That’s the motto of Planeta.com, the Global Journal of Practical Ecotourism. This superb site is an astounding treasure chest of practical information for exploring the world in a conscientious manner. They offer online workshops, web seminars, and countless news items, stories, and practical links. On a similar note, TransitionsAbroad.com (also a print magazine) is THE portal for information on working, studying, volunteering, and living abroad. They refer to these activities as “alternative travel.” Gadling.com calls it “engaged travel.” I call it “tranquilo.” It all means the same thing: exploring the world, “smart and slow.”
“Think Smart. Travel Slow.”
