TEDxBoulder 2013 Talk on Purposeful Travel:
I was one of 15 speakers selected to talk at TEDxBoulder 2013. I had a 6-minute slot to talk about travel to a sold-out crowd of 2,000 people at Macky Auditorium at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Travel, I argued, should be about spinning the globe, jumping off cliffs, and eating the worm: Joshua Berman's TEDxBoulder 2013 Talk on purposeful travel.
SPEAKER FOR HIRE:
I am available to give talks about my books and travels with stories, slides, and live music. Pictured above: my keynote speech to the Society of American Travel Writers Freelance Council in Mexico, 2012 (photo by Hans Reinhard). Maya 2012, Belize, Nicaragua, volunteering abroad, and Round-the-World are my other specialties. Contact me to arrange an event at your bookstore, fundraiser, or home. I can also talk to your students or group about volunteering abroad, and help prepare them for their upcoming trip. Rates vary.
