SPEAKER

I am available to give talks about my books and travels with stories, slides, and live music. Belize, Nicaragua, and Round the World are specialties. Contact me to arrange an event at your bookstore, fundraiser, or home. I can also talk to your students or group about volunteering abroad, and help prepare them for their upcoming trip.

PAST events:
“One Topic, Many Uses:
The Art of Turning A Single Interview into Several Stories” at the Boulder Cork restaurant, Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, 11:30 a.m. I'll be speaking about re-purposing and reselling your writing at this Colorado Authors League October Luncheon. I'm lucky that researching and writing guidebooks exposes so many extra stories — and possibly extra income.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 26, 5:30–8:30 PM, DOWNTOWN TATTERED COVER BOOKSTORE IN DENVER, CO: I'll be speaking about sustainable tourism in Nicaragua, and possibly singing a few folklóricos. The event is part of a film premiere by the Green Living Project and Rainforest Alliance. There will be prizes, giveaways, food, free beer, live music, and free beer.
MORE, see you there.
