I sometimes host travel-related talks, events, and fundraisers, usually here in Colorado. Next up:

Notable Faculty: Tracy Ross, Jayme Moye, Joshua Berman, Geoff Van Dyke, Michelle Theall

Workshop level: Beginner to intermediate

Past talks: I’ve given talks at TEDxBoulder, The New York Times Travel Show, the Boulder Bookstore, Tattered Cover Bookstore, and others.

tedxbermanI was one of 15 speakers at TEDxBoulder 2013. I had a 6-minute slot to talk about travel to a sold-out crowd of 2,000 people at Macky Auditorium at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Travel, I argued, should be about spinning the globe, jumping off cliffs, and eating the worm:

Joshua Berman’s TEDxBoulder 2013 Talk on purposeful travel.

I am available to give talks about my books and travels with stories, slides, and live music. Click here to learn more.

berman_singingI organized and performed at two events, both featuring a live concert by Moises Gadea, a Nicaraguan singer-songwriter, both to raise funds for Empowerment International. More here.

Here’s a photo by Joel Baud of me warming up the crowd:
