FIXER FOR TV & film production

IN Nicaragua and belize

moon nicaragua guidebooks As the author of the most comprehensive guidebooks to Nicaragua and Belize, and as an experienced trip leader and translator throughout the continent, I can help provide insurance against the many potential mishaps of shooting your TV or film production in Central America. From obtaining film permits and customs clearance with Nicaraguan and Belizean authorities to arranging transport and accommodation needs for your crew, I can serve as fixer, translator, and location specialist for your production in either Belize or Nicaragua. I can also suggest storylines, locations, and local guides and characters. I've spent years in Nicaragua and Belize as a Peace Corps Volunteer, travel writer, and trip leader and would be happy to work with your team in the field.

My credits include Locations Services and Fixer for the Travel Channel's production of "Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern: Nicaragua" (original air date: June 2, 2009), in which I also served as an on-camera expert and table companion for the host. A few months later, I researched and helped fix "Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre World: Belize." (Belize air date: September 1, 2009. Both episodes are availble on iTunes.)

nicaragua fixerI've worked on other productions in Nicaragua, including a short documentary on public health issues for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation entitled, "A Rotavirus Vaccine's Remarkable Impact."

I am based in the U.S. and travel frequently to Central America. If I am not available for your shoot, I can recommend fixers, guides, experts, and production assistants in both Nicaragua and Belize.
